L-Carnosine is a dipeptide naturally produced in the body. It is highly concentrated in muscle tissue and in the brain. L-Carnosine has been found to treat a host of conditions such as high blood pressure, autism, cataracts, complications related to diabetes, and kidney problems.
L-Carnosine has been postulated to control the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. It may be especially beneficial to people with diabetes as it can protect against damage caused by protein glycation.
