3,4 Divanillyltetrahydrofuran 95% (also called Divanil or DVTHF), is an extract from the Stinging Nettle plant (Urtica Dioica). Divanil has been shown to be very effective in blocking SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin) from binding to testosterone. This unbound testosterone then becomes free to be used by the body, effectively a testosterone boost.
Total testosterone in the human body is a combination of two forms of testosterone. Either free circulating active testosterone (free testosterone) or as testosterone bound to transport proteins, typically being bound to SHBG or albumin. This bound inactive testosterone is unusable by your body as it is trapped into a non-viable form. Therefore, the level of free testosterone is critical for the well known testosterone boosting effects on libido and sexual health, on energy levels, on the building of muscle mass and for the reduction of time for muscles to recover.
Divanil is also a natural aromatase inhibitor. Aromatisation is the conversion of testosterone into estrogen.
